Petitions are being passed for the 2010 primary elections to be held February 2.  If it seems as though we just finished an election cycle - you’re right.

The following countywide offices and County Board districts will be nominated for election:

• County Clerk (4-year term)

• County Treasurer (4-year term)

• County Sheriff (4-year term)

• Regional Superintendent of Schools (4-year term)

• County Board members (2-year terms) from County Board Districts 3, 5, and 9 and one unexpired 2-year term from District 8.

• The office of Precinct Committeeman (2-year terms)

Early voting starts January 11, 2010 through February 2, 2010.
